MythologicalMotherEarth

Hi there! This is Yasemin, 26 years old,Turkey .
No job,no social life, got friends only I can count on the fingers of my hand, a single lady with no future spending her time with music, books and dreams.
I am in love with nature and mythology. Tried to love opposite sex a few times but what I got in return was a big zero.Sometimes treated like a garbage as if I don't have any feelings at all. However you will not find anything about love and stuff on my blog. Only mythologic stories, fantasy art, nature and animals.
I don't try to be sexy, beautiful or cute or anything at all. No woman can ever be as sexy as the Mother Earth. She is the most beautiful and sexiest and smartest and modest female that has ever lived. Your argument is invalid.
Talked too much. Sorry. Sometimes I forget how much I love writing. Still trying to find the purpose of my life. Right now I just exist.
Yeah this is me and that set of pictures you see below constitutes my blog. Feel free to ask me anything you want.

Let me satisfy your curiosity..SubmitNext pageArchive

Interior of the tomb of Nefertari, showing the God Khepri (center left, with the Scarab Beetle as head), with Osiris (far left), Ra Horakhty (with the Sun Disk), and the Goddess Neith (far right). (647k)

Khepri was associated with the scarab beetle. He was a very ancient God, worshiped since at least the 5th Dynasty. Objects resembling scarabs have been found from as early as the Neolithic period (7000 - 5000 BCE). The scarab is associated with life and rebirth, since it rolls balls of dung, from which later young scarabs emerge. Ancient lore has it that Khepri, in the form of a large scarab, rolls the large ball of the Sun along the sky.

Bacchus and Ariadne

Ariadne, the daughter of King Minos, after helping Theseus to escape from the labyrinth, was carried by him to the island of Naxos and was left there asleep, while the ungrateful Theseus ( men will be men) pursued his way home without her. Ariadne, on waking and finding herself deserted, abandoned herself to grief. But Venus took pity on her, and consoled her with the promise that she should have an immortal lover, instead of the mortal one she had lost.
The island where Ariadne was left was the favourite island of Bacchus, the same that he wished the Tyrrhenian mariners to carry him to, when they so treacherously attempted to make prize of him. As Ariadne sat lamenting her fate, Bacchus found her, consoled her, and made her his wife. As a marriage present he gave her a golden crown, enriched with gems, and when she died, he took her crown and threw it up into the sky.

Persephone and Hades Why do I find this so utterly adorable?

My feels of Osiris and İsis has just flied to Persephone and Hades ! At least Hades is loyal to her.

► Les Mis Greek Gods AU || Bahorel as Ares     ↪ GOD OF WAR, BATTLELUST, CIVIL ORDER, AND MANLY COURAGE

“Magnanimous, unconquer’d, boistrous Ares, in darts rejoicing, and in bloody wars; Fierce and untam’d, whose mighty pow’r can make the strongest walls from their foundations shake: Mortal destroying king, defil’d with gore, pleas’d with war’s dreadful and tumultuous roar: Thee, human blood, and swords, and spears delight, and the dire ruin of mad savage fight. Stay, furious contests, and avenging strife, whose works with woe, embitter human life.”
(Orphic Hymn 64 to Ares)

Fun fact: Isis has for the most part the exact same symbols as Hathor. Often the two can only be told apart by the addtional text on the plates depicting them. Also the two goddesses tend to be melted together, especially when the question of who Horos mother is comes up. And that´s not even the tip of the iceberg on how confusing the egyptian gods can get!

It´s kind of sad how one can just see the amount of text and rambling grow exponantially with every update in and outside the comic.

Oh well, why stop here?
Thot´s rhetorcial-question-rant in full length:
Why is the picture so small that it can´t be seen by the last row? Why is the system so unnecessarily complicated and prone to corruption? Why is it so unfair? Why do you get to decide who gets a second chance? Why didn´t you just choose a even number of gods which can be divided by four so you wouldn´t need this special-rule? Why are you suddenly our leader and not Re or Amun or Amun-Re? Why did you use the Latin Alphabet and not the Greek Alphabet or Hieroglyphics or Runes? And for that matter: Why do we speak English? And why do we speak it with the spelling and grammar mistakes of a German? Why do I suddenly get so meta? Why is the handwriting so messy and the bubbles so ugly and wobbly? Why does this webcomic only update once a week? Why is it only in outlines? Why do my hands look so half-assed? Why is my beak cut off? Why…

THOT!
SHUT!
UUUP!

Thot being Thot. God of intelligence, wise men and therefore questioning ! You asked for it Osiris, sorry babe.
